 The
mission of the Alliance Française of Lynchburg is the
promotion of French culture, language, and literature in Lynchburg.

The programs of the Alliance Française of Lynchburg
include:
- French Language Classes Of Various Levels *UPDATED*
- French Book Club
- French Films
- Speakers On A Variety Of Topics
- Celebration Of Bastille Day
- Beaujolais Nouveau Party
- Mardi Gras
- Fête De Noël
- Day Trips
- Immersion dinners and French conversation sessions throughout the year at the homes of AF members and at area restaurants.
The Alliance Française of Lynchburg also works closely
together with area French teachers and professors and sponsors
every year a “Concours” for French students
of local high schools and middle schools. Students participate
in a French essay contest and may receive prizes and awards
during a festive “Distribution des Prix” in May
The Alliance also provides one high school and three college level scholarships.
